Library Sales Representative

I.                Job Summary:

AudioGO, a leading publisher of audiobooks and direct-to-library supplier is seeking a Sales Representative to fill an existing sales territory.

 The Library Sales Representative will be responsible for the development, acquisition, and retention of library accounts, and increasing revenue through sales of audiobooks and related products.

 Expert presentation skills are essential, both online and in-person.

 The position requires approximately 1 week of travel per month.

 The Library Sales Representative Position will be based at our North Kingstown, RI location.

 Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of proven successful B to B sales experience, or a strong publishing background.  

Bachelors Degree required.

 

II.              Essential Functions and Responsibilities:  

Ø  Responsible for supporting, educating, retaining, and acquiring library accounts.

Ø  Must be results-orientated, customer focused, driven, and comfortable being part of a team.

Ø  Must have skill set to interact with a diverse set of customers.

Ø  Ability to sell value over price, and present literary content.

Ø  Maintain timely communication with a large group of customers.

Ø  Ability to identify, qualify, and profile high-value customers through cold-calls and presentations.  

III.            Supervisory Responsibilities:  

Ø  N/A  

IV.           Fiscal Responsibilities:  

Ø  Meet and exceed sales budget on a monthly basis.

Ø  Maintain current and clear driving record.

Ø  Submit proper expense reporting in a timely manner.  

V.             Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

Ø  Excellent written & verbal communications skills required.

Ø  Proficient with Microsoft office applications. CRM experience a plus.

Ø  Must possess sophisticated sales presentation, appointment setting, and closing skills.

Ø  Proven capability to demonstrate time management and scheduling abilities.

Ø  An interest in books and/or audiobooks a plus.

Ø  Comfortable with travel.  

VI.           Credentials and Experience:  

Ø  Must be able to lead by example, learn quickly and continuously, and possess a high degree of accountability.

Ø  B2B sales experience and/or publishing background required.  

VII.         Physical Demands and Special Requirements:  

Ø  Significant highway & air travel required.
